"We met in graduate school, saw the same gap — brilliant students leaving with degrees and no clear path — and decided to do something about it."
David and Sean met in graduate school — both pursuing degrees in holistic nutrition, both driven by the same conviction that health could be transformed from the inside out. But while teaching in higher education, they kept seeing the same story repeat itself: talented, passionate nutrition students leaving school with impressive credentials and no clear path forward.
The nutrition and herbal medicine fields lacked the kind of structured, supervised post-graduate training that every other clinical profession takes for granted. Doctors do residencies. Nurses do clinical rotations. Nutritionists were handed a diploma and told good luck.
Holistic Consulting was built to change that — providing the next-level training, professional mentorship, and hands-on guidance that bridges the gap between academic knowledge and a thriving real-world practice.
"Our mission is simple: to partner with you, offering the crucial next-level training, professional support, and hands-on guidance so you can confidently launch and grow the holistic health career you've always dreamed of."

Both founders came to holistic health through unconventional paths — a Coast Guard veteran turned clinical nutritionist, and a Naval Academy graduate turned gym owner turned herbalist. Their shared belief: real mastery comes from doing, not just studying.
Dr. David Feuz's path to becoming a clinical nutrition expert wasn't a straight line — but it's one fueled by passion, persistence, and purpose. Before discovering nutrition, David spent eight years serving in the U.S. Coast Guard, working in search and rescue, law enforcement, and port security operations along the East Coast.
Driven by a deep passion for health and wellness, David made a bold 180° career change — earning a personal training certification while simultaneously pursuing a master's degree in Clinical Nutrition. One pivotal moment came when he was invited to join a groundbreaking initiative to develop the country's first mandatory nutrition curriculum for medical students — a role he embraced for two years.
Building on that teaching foundation, David became a teaching assistant at Sonoran University of Health Sciences, then an adjunct professor at Purdue University Global — before being approached by the Nutrition Therapy Association to redesign their certification program curriculum. Each step came from a mindset of saying yes to growth, even when opportunities looked unexpected on the surface.
After graduating from the U.S. Naval Academy with a major in computer science and serving as a submariner in the Navy for eight years, Sean transitioned his passion for health and wellness into a flourishing gym in the heart of Washington DC. Over the following decade, he expanded to include a swim school for kids and adults and a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy.
Recently, Sean completed an MS in Clinical Nutrition and an MS in Herbal Product Manufacturing — deepening the nutrition services at his gym and founding an online apothecary. He is passionate about helping aspiring health and wellness entrepreneurs learn to run successful businesses, and serves as an adjunct professor at the Maryland University of Integrative Health, teaching business development within the Herbal Product Manufacturing master's program.
Sean is a co-founder of three innovative virtual health and wellness companies. His entrepreneurial journey — from military officer to gym owner to clinical nutritionist to educator — is the lived proof of concept behind everything HC teaches.
